Joseph Spaniol, MD, is excited to join the Monarch Plastic Surgery team! A Kansas City native, Dr. Spaniol completed his General Surgery residency before pursuing a fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He began his career in plastic surgery in Wichita in 2021. After three fulfilling years, he and his wife decided to return to their Kansas City roots to be closer to family.
During his time in Wichita, Dr. Spaniol gained experience in various areas including breast reconstruction, skin cancer treatment and reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery. Outside of work, he cherishes time with his wife and their four children, ages 3, 4, 6, and 8. He also enjoys bike riding, trail running, and has been playing the piano since he was six. A fun fact: his oldest son is now learning piano from the same teacher who first taught him 32 years ago!
